Dear Friends:

On behalf of the CONSORCIO INGEPET and of the Organization Committee of the VI International Seminar: Oil and Gas Exploration and Production, I am pleased to invite you to this new version of INGEPET which this year will be celebrating along with you its 20th Anniversary of its existence.

The motto “Growing: Southamerica Leading a Green and Responsible Oil and Gas Industry”, evidences the success of the industry in attaining a level of excellence in Safety, Health, and Environment with Social Responsibility.

During the seminar VI INGEPET 2008, well-known specialists from different countries of the world will be submitting more than 200 technical papers that will be displayed in the Technical Program and in the Posters Section. These papers will be presented by specialist of different companies and institutions from of Venezuela, Brazil, Colombia, USA, Argentina, Ecuador, United Kingdom, Indonesia, México, Egipto, Canadá, Bolivia, China y Perú.

Keynote Conferences shall be dictated for the following outstanding personalities from the hydrocarbons industry:

• Daniel Saba, Chairman of Board, Perupetro S.A., Perú.
• José Sergio Gabrielli, CEO of Petrobras, Brazil.
• Steve Crowell, CEO of Pluspetrol, Argentina.
• Nemesio Fernández-Cuesta, Upstream General Director of Repsol YPF S.A., Spain.
• Wang Dongjin, President CNPC International LTD, China.

Considering the heavy crude oil potential of our Marañon Basin as well as the opening and promotion of investment in hydrocarbon activities in our country, the following forums shall be part of the VI INGEPET 2008 Program:

• Enhancing Heavy Oil Production in Peruvian Marañon Basin.
• Opening of Investment in Latin America. Cases: Peru, Colombia, and Brazil.

In this new version, short-duration technical courses shall be presented by renowned teachers prior to the event.

We take pride in informing you that, this year, our country will be the official site of most prestigious events such as the following: The Meeting of the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Forum, The Summit of Countries from the European Union, Latin America and the Caribbean, VI INGEPET 2008, among others.

It is important to mention also that the Meeting Site of VI INGEPET 2008 will be Sheraton Hotel & Conventions Center, a 5-star luxury hotel located in the heart of Lima and providing easy and fast access to all tourist places of our capital city. We have booked rooms at special rates for those of our participants who will be visiting from abroad. It is very important to make your reservation on time due that in October is high season in Lima and also many events will take place.
